The thing is ready to be mounted to the transmission. Thanks Takuro for suggesting going to another auto store - orileys came through with the correct freeze plug. In other news, I picked up my new power steering hose at autozone, and I got some metric coarse thread bolts for my harmonic balancer pulley at the hardware store. I do have a problem though. The power steering pump is not sitting square with the other pulleys. Imagine you are looking down upon the engine, the pulleys on the water pump are pointing perfectly left and right. The pulley on the steering pump is slanted so it isn't at a perfect left and right. I have used all stock components so I have no clue why they aren't lining up. Any ideas? Sorry I don't have a picture but I do have a drawing.

Metric bolts? Really?

Cheap Chinese replacement part. Need I say more?

I think it might be a bit slanted stock, but not terribly much. I'd go look at mine if it weren't disassembled atm.
EDIT: Here's some old pics I found of mine;
Don't know if it helps, but you can "clearly" see the two bolts that holds the power steering pump in place in the first picture.

Mine is about 1/2 inch off. Here is a crude drawing I made

Hmm well that doesn't look right. See my edited previous reply.

Thanks for the pics! It appears to me that the power steering pump needs to rotate a few degrees counter clockwise. Perhaps adding a few washers to one of the many brackets will help.

Yeah maybe, but you shouldn't really have to have any washers between the brackets. But it should probably fix it.
Are you using the power steering pump and bracket from the Chevy or the Poncho engine? Or is there maybe a chance that the bracket itself has become damaged and bent?

I'm using only the brackets that came off the pontiac. I'll get a better look at it tomorrow or the day after.
